Blue and white, blue and white, that is what I am. It was a catchy little tune he'd come up with as a child, and somehow it had stuck with him through the years. Growing up wasn't the easiest task for him, everywhere he went he was teased on his abnormal coloring. He happened to think it was rather nice though, he liked being unique, especially when he could rub it in everyone elses faces. Was it so wrong to be so satisfied by something like that? Did it make him a bad person, to have enjoyment in other peoples pain? Physical pain, no, that made him sick. Emotional pain on the other hand, it was the funniest joke one could tell him. He liked seeing the hurt, the anger, the sadness is other people. It was terrible, he should be ashamed to admit it, but he liked it.
He was humming the tune then, as he pranced along in the forest. He'd only recently been at the beach, but it had gotten much too hot there. Instead he'd sought out the cool shade of the forest, finding great comfort in it. It wasn't as bad for him though as it was for darker horses, considering he was white as, well, a daisy. The flowers on a daisy, not the yellow on the inside. Those were daises he was thinking about, right? Oh, who cared really. It wasn't like anyone was listening in on his thoughts. Soon enough he was exiting the forest and moving quickly towards the stream, which seemed to have slowed down slightly from it's normal rushing speed.

S P A R K L E Sparkle did not like the forest. Hell, she didn't like anywhere that the dirt came over her hooves, dirtying them. That was a thing about Sparkle. She hated getting dirty, hated to get all messy and always cared about how she looked and what she ate. This Andaulsian mare wasn't one to do anything without first thinking of how she'd be able to keep clean first. But that led her onto her current position inside the forest of Avalon, making way to the stream to wash off her hooves and legs."Ugh..." She groaned, shaking chestnut hair out of her eyes to gaze at her dust covered legs. Her normal dark brown legs were the shade of mud by now. While the shade offered her shelter from the sweltering summer sun, it still didn't mean nothing to her as she stepped out of the shadows to the gentle stream. There the sorrel mare saw him, a white Arabian stallion...He was beautifully colored white, but....His mane and tail were BLUE! For a long while she found herself unable to stop staring at him but as if in a dream her legs moved forward to walk into the water and never stopped watching him. She was almost...In awe of his coloring. He was indeed a beautiful thing, an angel perhaps? "Hello...." Sparkle breathed, almost giddy to speak with him. "You're beautiful..." Nervous chuckles as she mentally scolded herself for saying that. Why in the hell did she just tell him he was beautiful? Because he is...

Basil didn't care much for his appearance. Of course, like mentioned previously, he did like the way he looked. But it didn't matter to him if he got dirty, or if his mane was tangled. Sleeping lying down wasn't a bother to him, and it was much more comfortable than having to sleep standing up. Though currently he was clean, since he had been in the ocean not even an hour ago. His coat still was damp, but quickly drying due to the heat. Still, it gave him a little shine that actually did look nice. Especially out in the meadow where the sun was able to shine down on him. It went unnoticed by him though, after all, he was a stallion. He assumed normal stallions didn't care much about their appearance, except around ladies. At least, that's how he was. Even then, a bit of a rugged look could go nicely. Depending on the lady.
Basil was drinking when he felt a presence behind him. Upon examination, it turned out to be one of the ladies he was just talking about. A blue tail flicked back and forth, occasionally swatting at the flies around him. Though he paid little mind to her, backing a few steps up in order to graze on the green shoots around him. Grass was his least favorite thing to eat, he much preferred those red spheres that he could find on some trees. Unfortunately, there was a lot more grass than there was apple trees. As long as he could find grass that wasn't stepped all over though, he was happy. A few moments later he heard someone speaking to him, and his ears flicked forward the catch the mares voice. He chuckled softly afterwards, offering a quiet thank you. "You're quite the pretty lady yourself." Glancing around for her stallion, he found that he wasn't around and moved forward, coming nearer the water. "I'm Basil," he offered, careful to watch for other stallions. B A S I L

Although it took a few moments for him to notice her, Sparkle was happy that she had more time to gaze at how shiny his blue mane was. It was such a unique color, the way everything seemed to shine and merely compliment each other as if they were both colors that should have belonged to the heavens only. Perhaps she was exaggerating. Maybe not. But she couldn't keep her eyes from him as he offered her a quiet thank you, coming closer to the water from grazing on grass. "You're quite the pretty lady yourself." He spoke, breaking her from her thoughts, silly little things that she was daydreaming about the future if he had ever decided he liked her. As if a handsome man like him would ever like her, but he had just complimented her! For a moment, Sparkle was confused, watching him look around carefully before approaching which made her curious. Did he think she was with a herd? Heavens, no! She couldn't bear with all the other dirty bodies of her herd mates. That'd make it harder to keep clean, and that would push her obsession into overdrive to stay pretty. "T-thank you..." She stuttered sheepishly. What should she say?! What would she say? "I...I'm Sparkle. I'm sorry about that just now...It'a just that...I've never met such a beautiful stallion with. .blue hair and you look so beautiful..." The sorrel mare chuckled breathlessly, finally feeling how the water was making her legs cold like ice about now. Nervously, Sparkle made way to the shore, shaking off the water and turning to face this stallion. He was indeed a beautiful specimen. It would be a shame not to let other eyes see his beauty... "What were you looking for earlier? I don't have a herd, so...You don't have to worry about anything happening." For a moment, she gave him a giddy smile.
